Opposition leader (for now) Peter Dutton has given the board of Qantas a call to see how they managed to rid themselves of the deadwood that was Alan Joyce.
”As Politicians we can learn a lot from business,” said the leader of the Opposition. ”Qantas managed to get rid of Joyce and I’d love to know how they did it.”
”Not that I have any deadwood in my team.”
When asked if the deadwood in his team that he was trying to extricate was in fact former PM Scott Morrison, the Opposition leader said: ”Of course not, Scott is a valued acquaintance of mine, who, when he does show up adds a lot to parliament.”
”Why just the other day I was walking down the corridor and saw Scott and he gave me the thumbs up.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to talk to Barnaby Joyce to see if he understood the concept of Alan Joyce pulling out early.”
