Federal minister for education Christopher Pyne has had his hat stolen from him and thrown out the window of the bus by some public school kids as he was travelling to work on Monday.
“Two kids from West Canberra Boys High sat behind the minister in the bus and just snatched the straw boater that he was wearing off his head”, said witness Cheryl Gordon. “They tossed it across the aisle to one of their chums like it was a frisbee. Then this kid dangled it out the window and taunted Mr Pyne that he would let it go unless Mr Pyne said ‘uncle’ and re-instated the Gonski reforms.”
“That whiny Chris Pyne came up to me complaining about the public school kids pinching his hat”, confirmed bus driver Leslie Sneed. “I told him to stop being such a sook and do something about it himself.”
Pyne recovered the hat which will need extensive repairs at a milliners after being run over by the left side of an eighteen wheeler semi trailer.
