In an unprecedented move the coalition is moving to recruit North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. This follows the lengthy debate in the coalition party room in regards to marriage equality in recent days. Tony Abbott told a press conference, this morning, that he planned to take a different tack to manage party room debates.
“The supreme leader of North Korea has some very specific skills that I forward am very impressed by,” said Mr Abbott. “I’d just like to let my frontbenchers know that Kim is going to be around lending his irrepressible style to our discussions and he’ll be keeping an eye on who votes.”
Several frontbenchers have expressed their support for the idea of a new approach, while others a little more nervous. One MP was overheard saying, “I want to keep my place on the front bench…I hope I don’t get the axe!”
