Proud Toyota Hilux owner, Jayden Jaydensen has formed an unlikely bond with a local magpie.

The 26 year old tradie said he was scoffing down his daily four and twenty during his second lunch break when he saw the magpie continually and aggressively swoop a postie on his bicycle two weeks ago.

“Oh mate, bloody classic. It swooped him six or seven times. I almost choked on me pie. Hahaha, the postie… Hahaha he was screamin’ and everything “

Since then Jayden and the magpie, endearingly named Kev, have formed a special bond. With Jayden now sharing his meat pie with the bird each day.

“There’s something beautiful, maybe innocent about Kev. Honestly warms me heart watching him try to murder those posties and Lycra-clad losers.”

Kev was unavailable for comment.
