A Kyle Sandilands fan thought they’d spotted their hero in Newtown, but it turned out to be a look-alike.
A pile of dog crap sitting on a busy foot path in the inner-city Sydney suburb of Newtown has been mistaken for radio personality and lie detector enthusiast Kyle Sandilands by an enthusiastic fan.
The fan told The (un)Australian of their initial excitement at seeing what they thought was Sandilands, saying: “I couldn’t believe it, I saw him there on the footpath and just whipped out my phone ready to take a selfie with him. But when I approached what I thought was Sandilands and asked the pile of dog crap for a photo, he just smiled and explained he wasn’t Sandilands. Apparently he gets confused for Kyle all the time.”
When we approached the pile of dog crap for comment he was very understanding of the mix up, saying: “Look, it happens all the time, it used to be I got confused for John Laws and come footy season Greg Bird, but nowadays people always think I’m Kyle. They see a big pile of dog crap and they think Kyle Sandilands.”
