Former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has been identified as a person of interest in connection with the leaking of the latest Game of Thrones series. Mr Rudd, who is a lecturer at Harvard University, was taken in for questioning by Massachusetts police early this morning.
In a brief statement, Mr Rudd curtly informed the press that, “I intend to cooperate entirely with the Massachusetts police including their request that I don’t speak to any media about the investigation which from this point onwards I will not be doing.”
Two hours later however The (un) Australian obtained a verbatim transcript of Mr Rudd’s police interview from a person present at the interview.
When asked if Mr Rudd had leaked the Game of Thrones footage Mr Rudd replied: “Well when it comes to the question of leaking confidential footage online, well let me just say this. Would such a leak require a pretty developed technological skill set? Well yes it would.
“And does one K. Rudd struggle to even check his emails on his iPhone? Well yes he does. So at the end of the day, I reckon it’s pretty unlikely I’d be able to pull something like this off.”
Police then asked Mr Rudd if he would categorically deny any involvement in the leak. In response, Mr Rudd repeated: “I reckon it’s pretty unlikely I’d be able to pull something like this off.”
A spokesperson for HBO told The (un) Australian that as of yet they were unsure how the leak was executed, but confirmed that they would no longer be using Clintonemail as their email server.
