A Mormon man has been exposed as living two separate lives after his three wives from one family found out about two more women he was in a polygamous relationship with on the other side of town.
Roger Dalwood’s life unravelled last Friday after his three wives, Mary, Joan and Barbara Dalwood, caught him visiting another house on the far side of their hometown of Layton in the state of Utah, USA. He was living there with Amanda and Sheryl Dalwood, who were also oblivious to his second family.
“I’m just shocked at the deception.” said Mary. “I mean, are the three of us not enough for him?”
Amanda and Sheryl said they had no suspicion of infidelity, but in hindsight it did explain some of Rogers weird behaviour. “He kept referring to me and Sheryl as ‘You three’”, said Amanda. “He would correct himself by saying he meant our dog as well, but it didn’t make sense when he was talking about who would do the dishes.”
Roger was apologetic, but relieved that the lie was over. “It was all too complicated.” Roger said. “I was desperate to get another wife for Amanda and Sheryl just to balance it out, I kept making dinner reservations for the wrong number.”
As for what happens next, Roger was uncertain. “I don’t want to lose any of them. In an ideal world I’d move everyone in together, but five wives is a bit ridiculous.”
Mary was more clear with the ultimatum he faces. “He needs to make a choice, us three or them two.” she said. “The only other arrangement I’d be OK with is if he picked one of them to move in here and we got rid of Barbara, she has been giving me the shits lately”.
