The town of Yabbie Creek was left reeling today after being hit by a flood of journalists just days after the town was ravaged by fire.
“They came out of nowhere one minute I’m sifting through the still smouldering ashes of my family home the next there’s a television camera in my face and I’m asked how I’m coping,” said Yabbie Creek resident Jo Blow. “You’d think they’d let us deal with this tragedy in peace not film every minute of it.”
“Bad enough that we have to get our picture taken with everyone from the Premier to the Prime Minister. But for a fashion reporter to ask what I’m wearing well that just takes the cake.”
A Go Fund Me account has been set up in the town’s name with all money going towards hiring enough public relations consultants to sandbag the entire town.
