Australian streaming service STAN has announced that they will start producing a wacky new comedy, Young Hitler to be filmed in Geelong and directed by award winning Snow Town director Justin Kurzel.
“For too long people have looked at Hitler and only focused on the negative stuff like the holocaust and war and yada, yada.” said a Spokesperson for the Network. ”We want to shine a light on what Adolf was like as a kid, show him as the little prankster in primary school who from what I’m told was a real class clown.”
”We feel like this will be the type of show that families can all gather together to watch and laugh as one.”
When asked why the network feels that it needs to shine a positive light on one of history’s biggest monsters, the Spokesperson said: ”We don’t like to use labels to describe people.”
“Sure, Adolf did do some stuff that wasn’t positive, however we shouldn’t just gloss over other elements of his life.”
“At STAN we believe that everyone should have their story told, well everybody who has committed mass murder.”
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a meeting with the Australian Government to beg them for more funds, great art doesn’t fund itself.”
