Australia has reacted strongly to news overnight that an Olympic hockey player has been caught trying to purchase cocaine. With the majority of people stunned to learn that the athlete could actually afford the cocaine.
”Mate, aren’t these guys always crying that they can’t afford to live what with all the training and overseas competitions,” said Marrickville Toasted sandwich maker Ivan Bread. ”Fancy having enough cash in your pocket to score some charlie.”
”He must have sold his gold Rossi boots that Gina gave him.”
When reached for comment on the Australian Olympic drugs fiasco, a Spokesperson for the team said: ”Cocaine is not as expensive in France as it is in Australia.”
‘In fact most things are cheaper over here.”
”A couple of our modern pentathletes actually chipped in and were able to rent an apartment that was actually livable.”
”You couldn’t so that in Sydney.”
