The estate of the late radio great, John Laws, has put out to tender sponsorship for the shock jock’s funeral, asking for cash for coffin.
”This is a great opportunity for businesses to really get their message out to what will be one of the biggest funerals of the year,” said a spokesperson for the shock jock’s estate. ”We are offering a number of packages from naming rights deals through to your brand here space on the coffin.”
”Heck, it will be an open coffin so if you want to put a branded cap of ol’ golden tonsils head then we are listening.”
When asked whether calls for sponsorship for a funeral were crass and tacky, the Spokesperson said: ”No, it’s a chance for brands to say a big thank you to John, for all he did.”
”Besides, when people think of John they think of Valvoline, you know what I mean.’
