Disaster On Set Of New Channel 10 Show Gogglebox

Gogglebox

Troubled broadcaster Channel 10 has suffered a disaster on the set of their new show Gogglebox, the show which consists of watching people watch TV.  It was tipped to be a big winner for 10, as it was a huge hit in Europe.

However, disaster struck when they put out a casting call for Channel 10 viewers and they got no replies.

A spokesperson for the network told The (un)Australian: “We needed 16 people to make the show and when we put out the call for 16 Channel 10 viewers, we got no responses. Well, we got 5 old ladies who liked Ready, Steady Cook but when we told them the show would air live after 8 pm they backed out.”

The network had pinned their hopes on the new show as it was seen as cheap and innovative, as who would honestly think up the concept of people watching people watch TV? The network did consider paying people to be a part of the show, however the Kickstarter they launched to fund it failed to meet the target.

Channel 10 will now go back to the drawing board, literally pinning their hopes of a revival on a prime time re-launch of Mr Squiggle.
