Opinion: Reclaim Australia Protesters Just Like Any Ordinary Aussies With Swastika Tattoos

The protesters who turned out for Saturday’s “Reclaim Australia” rallies across Australia have been caricatured as racists and “far right extremists.” We are neither. We are just ordinary true blue, fair dinkum Aussies who love doing what all mainstream Aussies love — going to the footy, drinking a few beers and getting Swastikas tattooed on our necks.

My name’s Gary Siegheil. I’m a 31-year-old normal bloke who loves his Slim Dusty and military marching music. I’m not a fascist, I’m an Australian. Out-of-touch lefty, latte-sipping elites in the media have tried to paint people like me as racists, but nothing could be further from the truth. We’re just concerned patriots who want to protect our way of life, like going to the beach on a hot summers day to start a race riot.

My hope for the Reclaim Australia movement is that we are able to protect this rich and diverse country of ours from terrorists and Islamic fundamentalism. We just want the same things all Aussies want: a decent job, a chance to own our own home and for a 1000-Year-Long Reich to establish the total supremacy of the Aryan race other all over sub-human species. Does that sound racist to you?
