American accented Australian golfer Greg Norman has revealed to the world’s media that his initial reaction upon receiving a phone call from Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was to choke, before recovering to take the call.
The Australian Prime Minister rang Mr Norman to ask him for American President elect Donald Trump’s number. He tried Mr Norman as Australian Basketballer Andrew Bogut wasn’t answering his phone.
Speaking to The (un)Australian Mr Norman discussed the call and his choke, saying: “I’m normally great under pressure but when Malcolm called me, I just tensed up and started choking. Finally I bought it back and came through with the number. Well I had to call him back, as the number I gave him was a few digits short, but good old Sharkie delivered in the end.”
The Australian Prime Minister could not be reached for comment as he was busy hassling former Olympic swimmer Kieran Perkins in the belief that he may help him obtain German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s number.
