Not a single comedy fan across the country has expressed dismay at revelations of sexual misconduct levelled at one time stand up comedian Craig McLachlan.
“First Bill Cosby, then Louis C.K and now Craig McLachlan; where’s it going to end?” said absolutely no-one as an eerie silence enveloped Australia’s comedy aficionados.
“Craig McLachlan was someone I looked up to and was inspired by and now I’m just left feeling gutted,” said not one of Australia’s thousands of aspiring open micers as they flocked joylessly to perform at the countless sign up rooms across the country.
“You’ve got to understand that Craig McLachlan is a genius and geniuses don’t have to obey the laws of society like us mere mortals,” was a quote we were unable to get anyone to say despite offering good money to a heap of comedy tragics.
“I’m going home right now to set fire to my vhs copy of Craig McLachlan’s legendary performance on the Footy Show Grand Final special,” said someone who hadn’t yet heard about any of the allegations against him.
A spokesperson for Craig McLachlan confirmed there were no plans to cancel any of his upcoming stand up comedy gigs. A detailed and thorough perusal of the gig guides confirmed that Craig McLachlan has no upcoming stand up comedy gigs.

I’ve never heard of him. Is he a real person you’re slagging on or did you just make him up?
