It has been announced that the Byron Shire located on NSW’s North Coast has been chosen as the first place in the world to trial the new 6G technology, with plans to install towers in the coming months.
“We understand that not everybody was comfortable with 5G technology, and a large number of those people are located in the Byron Shire,” said a telecommunications spokesperson. ”So, to help ease the concern, we will be rolling out 6G as soon as we can.”
”As well, to say thank you for trying out the new technology, we will be giving away free chips.”
When asked what they would say to people like unemployed celebrity chef Pete Evans, who isn’t a fan of 5G technology, the spokesperson said: ”We are happy to talk to anyone and everyone about the wonders of both 5 and 6G technology.”
”Maybe Mr Evans could even be a spokesperson for the new 6G tower. The Pete Evans 6G Tower does have a nice ring to it, don’t you think?”
Pete Evans couldn’t be reached for comment as his mobile phone was not in coverage.
