Lisa Orton an accounts receivable officer for a Surry Hills based marketing company has proudly told colleagues that she not only has never watched a game of footy in her life, she doesn’t even know which team’s which.
The statement comes as Lisa moves 6 points clear in the office footy tipping comp.
”I didn’t really want to enter the comp but you know, I was new to the office and wanted to be a team player,” said Lisa. ”Now, here I am in the lead and on my way to collecting the $156.50 jackpot.”
”That will come in handy this year actually, as my rent’s gone up by $150 a week.”
When asked how her colleagues were taking her footy tipping success, Lisa said: ”They smile and laugh but I know that it’s through gritted teeth.”
”I mean one of the accounts managers played first grade for the Roosters and he isn’t even in the top 10 tippers.”
”I do love walking around the office Monday, coffee cup in hand asking how the sports ball went.”
