Sydney based Open Mic Comedian Luke Price or @PriceyComicGod as he’s known on twitter is today in hiding and fearful for his life after a gig at Laughs! Laughs! Laughs! A monthly open mic night held in the basement of the Elephant and Scrotum hotel in Glebe went wrong.
“Basically I stepped on stage and did my usual opener, Islam, yeah but never is Pork, and was met with total silence. So I repeated the punchline is Pork, ‘cause you know maybe they didn’t hear me the first time, at which point a punter yelled out why don’t you fuck off and die prick. That didn’t throw me ‘til I got home and saw the news about those comics in Paris who got shot and I thought damn, I’ll be next”, Price said.
The (un) Australian contacted the organiser of Laughs! Laughs! Laughs! Chris Moxham to confirm the story to which he said, “Pricey was on stage and we had an audience of 3 people and 24 comedians who were waiting to go on, as for the heckler I’m pretty sure it was one of the comedians, but hey if it keeps Pricey in hiding, then tell him it was ISIS.”
