Australian satirist Rowan Dean (sic) is said to be ecstatic today after learning that his documentary, which debuted on Sky News, about the alleged death of the “Aussie larrikin” was watched by at least 8 people.
”When we commissioned this documentary, you know, we thought it might be seen by maybe one or two viewers, and maybe a journalist from Junkee,” said a Sky News spokesperson. ”But, to draw in 8 viewers – that’s a new network record!”
”Can you imagine people actually tuning in to see Kerrie-Anne whinge about it no longer being “the good old days”?! Only in Australia!”
When asked what else we could expect to see on Sky News following Dean’s success, the spokesperson said: ”Where do we start?!”
”We’ll definitely delve into comedy a bit more, exploring issues like ‘Is PC killing comedy?’ and ‘Women – why aren’t they funny?’ ”
“Who knows? The way we are going, we might even crack the elusive double figures viewership mark!”
