The Opposition’s shadow minister for home and foreign affairs, Barnaby Joyce, has demanded that all airlines, but especially Qantas, bring back the mile high club.
”Flying around the country is part of the job, so why am I prevented from getting on the job, so to speak,” said the member for New England. ”How many hours do I have to spend on a plane, talking to Mrs Palmer when I could be in the club.”
”I will talk to Dutts and we will go to an erection, err, election on this.”
When asked why the Nationals were seemingly obsessed with Qantas, as opposed to the cost-of-living, the member for New England said: ”Well, one is linked to the other.”
”I mean how much cash would we save on rub n’ tags or massages if we could you know get it on and join the mile high club.”
”Anyway, all this talk has got me excited and keen to press the flesh so to speak in order to get this across the line.”
