The Erin Patterson beef wellington murder case has has been a breath of fresh air to Australian journalists, with the industry running with different angles of the story for the last 6 months. Journalists are hoping that there are enough beef wellington leftovers to last through till next week when Parliament resumes sitting.
”This beef wellington case has been just the kick in the pants I have needed,” said veteran journalist Ian Scoop. ”I mean for the last three years I’ve written nothing but, Peter Dutton says or variations of that.”
”So, being able to stretch out and talk beef is a blessing.”
When asked whether he feels any sympathy for the victims in the case, Ian Scoop said: ”Of course I do, poor Woolworths have been forced to virtually give away mushrooms.”
”No one thinks about the retailers when planning their crimes these days.”
”Anyway, am off to interview Maggie Beer for her tips on how to murder via baking.”
