The cricketing world is today in uproar after a twitter account named @NotShaneWarne2 tweeted “Scott Muller: Can’t bowl, can’t tweet #GetWellHughesy.”
The @NotShaneWarne2 account was apparently unimpressed that former test player Scott Muller had not joined the cavalcade of former cricketer’s to tweet well wishes to injured batsmen Phil Hughes.
When The (un) Australian reached out to @NotShaneWarne2 for comment they tweeted, “Hughesy’s in hospital and Muller can’t even tweet him. #DogAct.” When it was pointed out that Scott Muller didn’t have a twitter account The (un) Australian was blocked.
The @NotShaneWarne2 account has no affiliation with the real Shane Warne and is rumoured to be run by a Channel 9 camera operator.
The (un) Australian did reach out to the real Shane Warne for comment and in response received a series of selfies and tweets about, “how good chocolate Big M’s are.”
