Berejiklian Orders NSW Businesses To Pay Staff Wages In Gold Coins

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has ordered all businesses that operate in the State to start paying their employees in gold coins rather than doing so electronically.

”It breaks my heart that in the great State of NSW people are being paid their salaries electronically,” said the Premier. ”That money should be rightfully going into the pockets of the States pubs and clubs.”

”How can the State get gambling revenue if people aren’t playing the pokies?”

When asked why in a pandemic the Premier was seeking to encourage people to hit the pokies, the Premier said: ”No one has ever caught covid from a pokie machine.”

”In fact, most people only ever catch pokies fever and that won’t kill you, it may cost you your house and your family.”

”But as they say, sometimes a change is as good as a holiday.”

”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to drive some pensioners to Rooty Hill RSL for some R and P, that’s relaxation and pokies you know.”
