Tenants Urged To Start Go Fund Me Accounts For Struggling Landlords

The Australian Landlord’s Association has called on all Tenants currently in a rental to start up a Go Fund Me account to raise funds for the Nation’s Landlords adversely effected by today’s rate rise.

”Today is such a dark day for our industry,” said a Spokesperson. ”Just think of those poor Landlords having to pay back more on their negatively geared properties.”

”It brings a tear to your eye.”

When asked why the onus should be on Tenants to cover an increase in interest rates rather than Landlords being prepared for the rise, the Spokesperson said: ”How dare you question this Nation’s finest citizens our dearly loved Landlords.”

”Why if the PM were here he’d reject the premise of your question.”

”Speaking of the PM, I should give him a call, surely he’ll find a way to funnel a few billion our way.”

”Or, better yet, maybe he could invent a Tenant tax. Something that allows us to take the Tenant’s stuff from their houses if we like it.”
