The Australian Greens have today walked out of Parliament and called an emergency press conference where they demanded that the PM rush through legislation making drum circles compulsory in all schools.
”What sort of Government is Anthony Albanese running when he spends more time dealing with taxes and no time dealing with drum circles? Posed Greens leader Adam Bandt. ”We have asked the Prime Minster time and time again to meet Max Chandler-Mather and myself to just bang out our differences over the drums.”
”Come on Albo, the public needs more drum circles.”
When asked why the Greens seemed to be more interested in scoring petty political points rather than helping the country, Adam Bandt said: ”We are not a petty party, we do so much important stuff.”
”Like, we managed to get Parliament house to consider using ethically sourced toilet paper.”
”Do you know how hard it was to pitch that to Bob Katter without getting shot?”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I saw a school kid down the road put a can in a garbage bin instead of recycling it. I must go and show them the error of their ways and have them expelled from school.”
