After spending most of the year haggling, the Greens political party and the Government have come to terms on a housing bill that will help the country build more houses.
The last minute deal is alleged to involve the Greens housing spokesperson, Max Chandler-Mather, receiving a gold star to put on a chart that he keeps in his office.
”We really showed the Government who’s the boss, didn’t we,” said Greens leader (for now) Adam Bandt. ”I mean sure, we didn’t get anything off our wish list.”
”But, Max did get a gold star and he said he’d let me film a Tiktok in front of it.”
When asked why the party held out for so long before acquiescing to the Government, the interim Greens leader said: ”Max wanted his gold star, and what Max wants he gets.”
”Well not everything, we didn’t get anything on negative gearing reform or a rent freeze, but, we did get Maxxy his 15 minutes of fame.”
