Interim Opposition leader, Sussan Ley, has reached out to her rebellious colleague, Barnaby Joyce, to invite him over for a lovely beef wellington dinner.
”Teams squabble from time to time but what good teams do is they always settle their differences,” said Sussan with an extra S. ”Barnaby and I will sit down and hash things out over a lovely beef wellington dinner.”
”The mushrooms were provided to me by David Littleproud, apparently he foraged them himself.”
When asked if the Coalition would be better off with Barnaby leaving, Sussan with an extra S said: ”Not necessarily, he does provide the party room with some great comic relief.”
”You should hear him when he starts talking about his wives, it’s true champagne comedy.”
”Besides, do you really thing he and Pauline will last together?”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, the recipe tells me I need to destroy my dehydrator, so I must be off.”
