The Australian government has today listed Roy Morgan Research and a number of other polling agencies as terror organisations. The government warning citizens not to access their polls as they promote divisiveness and fear, particularly among government backbenchers.
A government spokesperson told The (un)Australian: “The constant negativity spouted by those pollsters is disharmonious to our way of life, they seek to condemn good governments and destabilise good captains.”
When we put it to the government spokesperson that rather than shooting the messenger they could just be a better government they angrily replied, “Where are you from? The (un)Australian sounds a bit like Al Qaeda? Hand over your metadata!”
