Deputy leader of the National party Fiona Nash was spotted in the Canberra suburb of Deakin shopping for an outfit for her party’s annual Halloween party. When asked what costume she was considering Nash told of her plans to dress as an eligible Australian Senator, one without dual-citizenship.
“Look there is a lot of pressure on politicians so when we get the chance to have some fun we really let our hair done,” said Nash as she perused through racks of costumes. “With dress up parties you have to get in early with your costume idea. I know Barnaby Joyce was also looking to go as an eligible Senator but I called dibs.”
“I think Barnaby is now planning to really embrace his cultural background and come along as Fred Dagg or just a Dagg.”
The Nationals Halloween party is scheduled for Tuesday October 31st. They ask that guests please register their costume choice and that no one dresses as a Jackass, as George Christensen has already called dibs.
