The NRL has this week announced that they have listened to all the online commentary and will hold a bigot pride round later in the year, with QLD Senator Pauline Hanson being named patron.
”We tried tolerance and a pride round but @johnny469 on Twitter didn’t like it so we will acquiesce to his demands and hold a bigot pride round,” said NRL Supremo Peter V’Landys. ”Already this is looking like a good move as Sky News has promised to promote the round 24/7 to their 7 viewers.”
When asked why the League was not doing more to stamp out intolerance and hatred amongst their fans and certain players, Peter V’Landys said: ”Tolerance means we tolerate everyone and everything.”
”I mean I don’t like that the AFL out rates and out draws us, but I have to tolerate it.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a sponsorship meeting with the Westboro Baptist church, they are keen to be a naming rights sponsor for the Manly Sea Eagles.”
