The Opposition’s Shadow Minister for Home Affairs Barnaby Joyce has put out a press release offering a leg over, err up, for any young ladies to celebrate International Women’s Day.
”You will not find anyone else in Parliament who has pursued women, err, the rights of women more than myself,” said the Member for New England. ”Why, just today I spent most of the day pressing the flesh with a few young ladies.”
”They were a couple of good sorts, too.”
When asked if the Coalition had learnt any lessons over their treatment of Women during their term in office, Mr Joyce said: ”We can always go the extra step when it comes to the ladies.”
”Why stop at first base when you can go for home? Nothing like sliding in!”
‘Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m having a little do at my office. All welcome! Ladies, bring a plate.”
