The NSW Government has today realised that they won’t be facing an election anytime soon, so they’ve got on their soapbox and demanded that the State’s public servants return to working in the office or their local pokies den.
”We’ve had a bit of fun, you know going from the bedroom to the study for work, but now it’s time to get back to work and start pumping the coins through the pokies,” said Premier Chris Minns. ”A strong NSW is one where the pokies are pumping and people are back in the city.”
”Who knows, someone might even get a jackpot and be able to afford a deposit on a one bedroom unit in Penrith.”
When asked why the Premier seemed to associate working from home with slacking off, the Premier said: ”Look, not everyone who is at home is slacking off. But, all those at home aren’t spending money on anything other than their mortgage or rent.”
”Come on NSW, get down to your local Rissole and have a slap on the pokies.”
”And on the way to the Rissole make sure you grab a coffee from your local CBD based coffee shop.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to head home for a Teams meeting with Cabinet and on the way I’m hoping to pick up the kids from school.”
