The Opposition’s shadow Minister for Home and Foreign Affairs Barnaby Joyce has met with wealthy benefactor Gina Rinehart to tell her about his new touch team and how they are looking for a jumper sponsor.
”I saw that Netball Australia turned down Gina’s cash and thought well my touch team could do with new jumpers,” said the Member for New England. ”At the moment we’re sponsored by the Lithgow abattoirs who give us a case of offal every second week.”
”Handy for a fry up, but some cash would really help us out.”
When asked for his thoughts on Sports people questioning where the sponsorship money comes from, former Minister Joyce said: ”You want to give me money I won’t question you.”
”Cricketers, netballers, heck professional jacks players need to do less talking and more sporting.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to practice my touch. There’s a few new interns who I fell would work well under me.”
