Dress up loving NSW premier Dom Perrotet is tipped today to announce that he will be running a trash fire as his lead candidate in the Upper House at the upcoming election.
”It’s a no lose situation for the Premier given that his alternative is David Elliot,” said a Government Insider. ”Sure, the trash fire won’t do well with those that want action on climate change.”
”But, they were never going to vote for us anyway.”
When asked if they seriously thought they were a chance to win the election, the Government Insider said: ”Not really, but with NSW Labor as the opponent there’s always a chance that they will shoot themselves in the foot more times than us.”
”Besides, we have had a good run, people still think of Gladys fondly.”
”Could be worse we could’ve left a legacy like Morrison’s, there still writing books about that train wreck.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and pick up my Government posting before we enter caretaker mode.”
