The Liberal party’s on again, off again partner, the Nationals, have sent letters out to their constituents, many of whom have been ravaged by floods, asking them to give generously to the parties re-election fund.
”No one fights harder than the Nationals,” said a Party Spokesperson. ”Whether it’s for an extra seat in the shadow ministry or our God given right to commonwealth funded cars.”
”If there is a perk to be gained the Nationals will fight for it.”
When asked why the party was more focused on feuding with the Liberals than helping their flood ravaged constituents, the party Spokesperson said: ”Well, we’re not the Government are we?”
”The people should’ve thought about that and voted for us if they wanted us to do anything.”
”Anyway, a message to all those flood victims, when or if the insurance checks start flowing, don’t forget your local member.”
