Shadow Treasurer (for now), Ted O’Brien, has arrived to work late today due to managing to get his tie caught in his briefcase, this is the third time this month that this has happened.
”They’re tricky things ties aren’t they?” Asked the shadow treasurer. ”I mean I don’t really need to wear one, but, my mentor Scotty, err, ScoMo, said that a tie would look good on me.”
”Apparently it distracts from people thinking about how big my neck looks.”
When asked what areas the Opposition would be looking to focus on during the next term of parliament, the shadow treasurer said: ”We will hold this unpopular Government to account.”
”Sure, they won the election, quite easily actually, but just turn on to Sky News and you can see nothing but hate for the Government.”
”So, we’ll throw stones at them, pick a culture war or two and that should get us back in the game.”
”Failing that we might at some stage have a Trump card up our sleeve.”
