Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is looking forward to the Parliamentary Christmas break where he will spend time with his family in Sydney and will also travel to far north Queensland to mow his good friend George Christensen’s lawn.
Speaking to The (un)Australian Mr Turnbull spoke of his plans, saying: “I’m a very agile and innovative Prime Minister and when George said mow my lawn , I jumped at the opportunity. Well at first I thought I’ll just hire a backpacker to do it but apparently there are none around Australia this festive season, understandable as it’s a very taxing time of year.”
When reached for comment on his new lawn mower Mr Christensen said: “The lawn was getting a bit long and I wasn’t going to mow it so I go over to my old mate Malcolm and say, mow my lawn or I’ll quit and low and behold here he comes. After he’s done with the lawns I might get him to paint my back door, needs a bit of a touch up.”
Mr Turnbull will be in far north Queensland prior to Christmas after that he is hoping to travel to the United States to visit newly elected President Donald Trump, should the right wing of his party allow him to travel.
