ScoMo Urges Australians To Light A Candle For The Bushfires

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has urged all Australians particularly those in New South Wales to take a moment out of their day to light a candle and think of those who are suffering due to the bushfires.

“I find in times of trouble when even thoughts and prayers don’t work that lighting a candle can be beneficial to any situation,” said the Prime Minister. “In fact my dear friend and confidante Brian Houston was telling me that for this week only if you come into any Hillsong church to light a candle for prayer they’ll do a deal where you buy one and get the second candle half price.”

“Why not make the first candle for the fires and the second for the successful passing of the religious discrimination act.”

Firefighters upon hearing of the Prime Minister’s call to arms have warned the public to only light candles indoors and observe all fire warnings.
