Following the announcement earlier this week that residents in New South Wales will be allowed to have two guests in their homes from Friday. The Government has sought to clarify, that in order for that to occur they will need to install pokies machines in their houses.
”We want to get the State moving but do so in a safe manner,”said a Spokesperson for the NSW Premier. ”In an ideal World the RSL’s and Casinos would be the first thing we let open, however medical advice is that that’s not a great idea.”
“So we thought what if we put the pokies in people’s homes, that way they can gamble at home with their closest friends.”
When asked why the State is in such a rush to get people back gambling, the Spokesperson said: ”Are you kidding? It’s all about the cash, we need money and where better to get some money than through gambling.”
”I mean you didn’t think we were going to let people visit each other for free? Come on!’
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to Nathan Cleary’s house he’s got a game of two up going, fingers crossed I can win us an increase to the health budget.
