Australia’s member for Manilla George Christensen has called upon the Government, of which he is a part of, to consider lifting travel restrictions and opening up and creating a bubble between Australia and the Philippines.
”We need the Philippine’s economy going and what better way to do this than by letting Australian tourists fly over there and spend some cash,” said the Member for Manila. ”I would be more than happy to lead a tour group over there.”
”I could show them the sights take them to a few bars and meet a few people, if you know what I mean.”
When asked why he was so keen to get travel going between Australia and the Philippines as soon as possible rather than say intrastate travel, George Christensen said: ”Why would I want to go to dreary old Sydney when I could go to Manila?”
”Kings Cross is on life support and have you seen how much the girls charge. I could buy a whole village in the Philippines for what they’re charging in the Cross these days.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me I’m off to Rebel Sport, to stock up on ping pong balls. I’m a big table tennis fan.”
