Barnaby Joyce a prominent opponent of marriage equality, as he believed it threatened the sanctity of marriage has announced he has proposed to the woman who he left his first wife for and she has said yes.
”Everyone loves a good wedding and what better time to get married than in the lead up to an election,” said the Deputy PM. ”And don’t forget all the pretty ladies that go to a wedding, nothing like a bit of eye candy, eh?”
”Hopefully, the Missus will have a good line up of bridesmaids to peruse.”
When asked why he believed that he should be allowed to marry as many times as he likes yet gay people should be denied the right to marriage, the Deputy Pm said: ”That’s all in the past, let’s not look back, let’s look forward.”
”People want to see their Politicians happy and nothing makes me happier than a good wedding chock full of bridesmaids.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I am heading out for a dry run of my bucks night, tell Vicky to not wait up.”
