The flood-ravaged town of Lismore has been dealt a heavy blow today, with news that Sky News’ leading idiot Paul Murray will broadcast live from the town.
”Ah, jeez, haven’t we suffered enough what with the floods, clean up and the PM turning up for a photo shoot?” asked a Lismore local, who took a break from throwing out his life’s belongings to speak to The (Un)Australian. ”We need all the help we can get, considering that the Government is having difficulties sending help (he said something about Lismore not being a marginal seat).
”Of all the shows though, why are they sending Paul Murray? The dude makes a show that no one watches.”
When reached for comment on why he was inflicting his show on the people of Lismore, Paul Murray said: ”I’m just doing my bit, you know.”
”ScoMo rang me and offered up a bit of cash for me to head to Lismore and chat to the locals about how all this mess is Albo’s fault.”
”The genius of doing a live show is that all the people I have on the show count towards my ratings.”
”With a bit of luck, I might even crack the elusive double digit viewing mark.”
