The Australian Greens have been plunged into crisis this week with the loss of Senator Lidia Thorpe causing an imbalance in the party’s weekly drum circle causing it to skew right.
”It’s a disaster and really we just don’t know how to fix the problem,” said a Greens Spokesperson. ”We’ve tried chanting and vision boards but neither have worked.”
”We may have to reach out to the oracle, Christine Milne for advice.”
When asked whether the Greens turmoil could be put down to poor leadership from Adam Bandt, the Spokesperson said: ”Whoo, hey, don’t go around slinging negative slurs such as poor and leadership.”
”We prefer to use terms such as leadership challenged.”
”Besides, this is not Adam’s fault, it’s clearly someone in the party has done something bad in a past life that has led to some bad karma.”
”We need to go and hold a peyote ceremony to cleanse us of all this negative energy.”
”Can you tell Albo, we’ll be away from Parliament this week. Gotta get this nipped in the bud ASAP.”
