Greens Leader (for now), Adam Bandt, has been seen walking around parliament house with a spring in his step after learning that Opposition leader, Peter Dutton, had accepted his offer of coming over for dinner and a drum circle.
”I am so happy that Pete has agreed to come over with the Coalition crew for a night of good food and good drumming,” said the Greens leader. ”We asked Albo but he said that if Max is gonna be there then he wouldn’t be.”
”His loss, he’ll miss out on Sarah Hanson Young’s organic smoked baba ganoush.”
When reached for comment on his upcoming ”dinner date,” the Opposition leader was coy, saying: ”Adam did ask me over for a bit of a chewing the fat session and I have taken him up on the offer.”
”Though we have our differences we also do have a lot in common.”
”He hates Albo, I hate Albo. He likes puppies, I like to strangle puppies.”
”Now, you wouldn’t happen to know what type of wine goes best with mung beans, do you?”
