Opposition leader (for now), Peter Dutton, has urged all Australians to dig deep and give generously to the flood damaged Coalition. Who due to cyclone Alfred have had to cancel many fundraising opportunities.
”This cyclone has hit hard, I haven’t been able to leave my home state in over a week, poor Gina must be beside herself,” said the Opposition leader. ”If I’m here then who is with Gina, rubbing her feet or fetching her drinks?”
”People don’t think about billionaires in times of trouble, but, they should.”
When asked why he would not donate the 500k that he solicited in Sydney whilst most in his home state people were preparing for the cyclone, the Opposition leader said: ”Why would I do that?”
”That’s my money, I earned that, you think those billionaires schmoozed themselves?”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and figure out how to use Zoom for fundraisers.”
