Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his Minister for the Dark Arts Peter Dutton have called on the media to learn the difference between a ship and a boat after a ship docked in Fremantle with Covid infected crew.
”The media in this country really need to step up and be a part of Team Australia,” said the Prime Minister. ”Especially when it comes to the reporting of ships versus boats.”
”My Government stops boats, not ships. We’ve never claimed to stop ships just boats.”
When asked what’s the difference the Prime Minister said: ”It’s quite simple, boats are small and contain people whom nobody minds too much if you lock them up indefinitely on an island.”
”Whereas Ships are usually bigger and contain people who prefer thing like buffets and shuffle board, rather than being locked up on an island detention centre.”
”Now, if you”ll excuse me, I’m off to see if I can Peter an I stopped the boats trophy similar to, but not as big, as the one on my desk.”
