Early betting odds have been released on next year’s Australian of the Year with Christian Porter’s Blind Trust installed as favourite, slightly ahead of Gina Rinehart and the Prime Minister’s creepy mate George Christensen.
”We need the next Australian of the Year to be a bit less vocal and a bit more helpful behind the scenes,” said a government insider. ”The Blind Trust is a perfect candidate as it has been quite handy to have around over the last year or so.”
”Heck, maybe we should look at making the Blind Trust the next Governor General!”
When asked why the Government did so much to protect Christian Porter’s Blind Trust, the government insider said: ”If the Prime Minister were here, he’d reject the premise of your question.”
”Christian Porter’s Blind Trust is a model Australian. It does so much and asks for so little in return.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, the Blind Trust has asked me to run a few errands for it. I have to deliver these paper bags full of cash to the Cabinet.”
