The State of Queensland has been put on high alert today of an approaching plague of politicians seen gathering near the State’s newly opened borders.
”We ask all members of the public to go about their normal everyday lives but just to be aware,” said the State’s head of the SES. ”In particular if a politician tries to shake your hand don’t fight it just grin and bear it.”
”You will know that a politician is approaching you or your workplace as they will be wearing their traditional hi-vis and accompanied by a swarm of feeder journalists and media.”
When reached for comment on his plans to visit Queensland, the Prime Minister said: ”How good’s Queensland?”
”My good mate Georgey Christensen lives there, he asked me to come and visit him and he’d show me his hidden secret bunker.”
”Apparently it’s lined with tin foil.”
Opposition leader Anthony Albanese could not be reached for comment as he had already landed in Queensland and was busy hitting the streets and being photographed with the locals.”
