Australian Prime Minister Scotty from marketing has sent a congratulatory tweet to children’s entertainers Hi-5, congratulating the band on topping the JJJ Hottest 100.
The tweet was sent despite the hottest 100 being topped by the Wiggles and not Hi-5.
”The PM likes to keep in touch with the kiddies, not like that, and what they’re into,” said a Government Insider. ”Usually he relies on Jen and the Girls to keep him up to speed on youth matters.”
”However, they were busy this weekend so he asked his creepy mate George Christensen what was happening with youth culture.”
When asked why he would congratulate Hi-5 instead of the Wiggle, the PM said: ”I reject the premise of your question.”
”I was merely sending a cyber Hi-5 to the Wiggles, I just hit send before I finished the tweet.”
”Besides, shouldn’t the hottest 100 be held on Australia Day? I think this needs to be discussed and pictures of me wearing an Australia day cape should feature in any stories you publish.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and get a Southern cross tattoo on my back.”
