NSW Premier (for now) Dominic Perrotet has told voters to make sure they bring cash when voting in tomorrow’s election as there will be toll booths operating at all voting booths in Western Sydney.
”We didn’t have enough time to sort out the logistics of privatising the election, so we decided to put up some tolls to cover the cost,” said the NSW Premier. ”After all, those little pencils aren’t cheap you know.”
”Be sure to bring cash, just in case the card reader doesn’t work.”
When asked if he seriously thought tolls were the answer to every question in NSW, the interim Premier said: ”Well no, there’s also pokies revenue and stamp duty.”
”But, the Attorney General said we can’t use either of those on election day.”
”Who knows, after our Western Sydney election day tolls trial we may roll it out all over the State. Or just triple the cost for the next election.”
